What is Omotenashi Nozawa?

Omotenashi Nozawa is a small collection of three locally run ski lodges in Nozawa Onsen: Fujisawaso, Yukiguma, and Kumanote Lodge. Each lodge has its own character, but all share the same focus on comfort, simplicity, and genuine Japanese hospitality.

Where are the lodges located?

All three lodges are located in Nozawa Onsen village, within walking distance of ski lifts, restaurants, onsens, and the village center. Exact locations vary slightly and are shared after booking or upon request.

How do I check availability or make a booking?

We currently accept availability requests only.

Simply choose your preferred lodge, select your dates, and send a request. We’ll get back to you personally with availability, pricing, and next steps.

Why can’t I book instantly?

We keep things personal.

We don’t sell them directly, but we’re happy to:

Is Nozawa Onsen suitable for beginners?

Yes — Nozawa Onsen is great for beginners, intermediates, and advanced skiers. The resort offers a wide variety of terrain, from gentle groomed runs to long cruisy slopes, steeper sections, tree skiing, and rewarding off-piste for more experienced riders. This diversity makes it easy for mixed-ability groups to ski together while everyone finds terrain that suits their level and style.

It also offers amazing onsens, food, and cultural experiences for non-skiers.
